You can request that your Authentica account and associated data be deleted. This page describes how to do that and what data we delete or keep.
How to request account and data deletion
- Send an email to support@authentica.id from the email address linked to your Authentica account.
- Use the subject line “Delete my account” (or similar) so we can process your request quickly.
- We will confirm your identity and then permanently delete your account and associated data within 30 days (or sooner where possible). We may contact you if we need to verify your identity.
What we delete
When we delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your account (name, email, login credentials)
- Your brand and profile information
- Your product passports and related content (e.g. images, descriptions)
- Your notification and in-app settings
- Device identifiers and push tokens linked to your account
What we may keep (and for how long)
We may retain the following only as long as necessary for legal, security, or operational reasons:
- Backups and logs: Deleted data may remain in backups or logs for a limited period (typically up to 90 days) before being overwritten.
- Legal obligations: We may keep certain data where required by law (e.g. tax, disputes).
- Anonymized or aggregated data: We may retain data that no longer identifies you (e.g. analytics in aggregate form).
We do not sell your data. After deletion, we do not use your personal information for any other purpose.
Additional retention period
Aside from the cases above, we aim to complete full deletion of your account and associated personal data within 30 days of your verified request. Backup and log purge may extend up to an additional 60 days.
